Responsibilities:
Perform various duties related to teaching, including:
Following a lesson plan Facilitating learning Managing a classroom Taking attendance Providing ongoing instructional support Effectively communicating to school staff Leaving detailed reports to classroom teacher Minimum Requirements to apply:
Bachelor's degree in any field Passing CBEST score Applied for or received an active 30 day Substitute Permit or other CA K-12 teaching credential Current negative TB test prior to hire Ability to pass a Livescan Available a minimum of 8 days a month Who We Are The Hebrew Academy implements a unique, dynamic, and innovative dual curriculum using current standards and research-based instructional strategies to achieve outstanding outcomes for students in K-12.
Successful teachers have:
A California teaching certificate in multiple or single subjects; At least one year of demonstrated, successful experience teaching; A passionate, charismatic, student-centered approach to teaching; Proven track record demonstrating recognized standards of instruction and effective methods of assessment; A desire to serve as a role model to students, teachers, and parents; A strong work ethic and skills to collaborate; Commitment to preparing students for high school, college, or seminary and beyond; and A desire to participate actively in a vibrant school community.
