Engineering Planning Sourcing Coordinator

oIdentify ways to eliminate material shortages for testing and certification and secure material availability at the beginning of the test plans.
oLead and participate in problem solving for testing, certification materials, and supply chain processes at the sites, as well as, at the division level.
oExamine documents, materials, and products and monitor work processes in order to assess completeness, accuracy, and conformance to standards and specifications.
oReview production of the testing articles schedules, work order, and current staff to determine personnel and materials requirements and priorities.
oConfer with Production Managers, Program Managers, buyers and other departments to assess current progress and discuss needed changes.
oPerform daily management of logistics functions, including performance tracking in support of internal and external customer requirementsoDevelop and document work procedures, prepare work schedules, and ensure staffing levels are adequate to support manufacturing and planning requests for testing and certification.
oEvaluates shortages and manages prompt solutions keeping appropriate stakeholders informed of any potential problem as required.
oAnalyzes demand and plans supply in accordance, ensures efficient and quality execution of requirements and purchasing action messages, manages supplier delivery, quality, and cost performance and improvement.
oEnsures material flow and production activity are aligned.
oReads and reviews testing engineering drawings and documentation and coordinate any changesoMaintains inventory levels to meet testing and certification company goalsoSupports testing and certification requirements for new programsoKey User for ERP system; Confirm accuracy of pertinent data in the company ERP systemoCollaborates with stakeholders on lead times, planning items and any testing certification related elementsoPerforms root cause analysis activities related to planning for Testing/Certification.
oHandles complex issues and problems, and escalates only the most complex issues to higher level staff.
oAttend and actively participates in departmental meetings in a positive manneroLead continuous improvement efforts for the departmentoCommunicate department's activities and strategies in conjunction with the direction of leadershipoPerforms work under minimal supervisionoPerforms other related functions as assigned.

The expected salary range for this position is between $64,500 - $83,270 USD.
Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, education, and other factors permitted by law.
Additional description The Engineering Planning Sourcing Coordinator is responsible for maintaining material control fundamentals and working to eliminate certification/Testing material shortages.
The Engineering Planning Sourcing Coordinator oversees all certification/Testing material and handling and movements within the sites including inbound and outbound material flow.
Responsible to ensure timely flow of material within each function of the warehouse, receiving, kitting, cycle counting, put away, shipping, and outside processing.
Accountable for inventory accuracy, kitting completion, cycle count completion and the turn-around time for shipping, receiving and put away, as well as the reporting of these KPIs.
Drives changes in the department that assist in the improvement of performance of the materials for testing and certification.
The Engineering Planning Sourcing Coordinator is responsible for overseeing all planning activities for testing and certification to assure successful delivery of the product.
This position will be responsible for performing tasks and duties associated with testing and certification articles production planning, including producing schedules, material lists, and production plans.
Assist in other engineering projects as assigned.
Candidate skills & requirements Education:
oBachelor's degree or equivalent experience (+5 years without degree of production planning and/or material planning experience Aerospace preferred)

oMS Office Skills (Excel, PowerPoint)oExperience with an MRP system Other Skills:
oDemonstrated knowledge of materials planning system (MRP/ERP) requirements, purchase order and manufacturing order process, and inventory management practices.
oDemonstrated understanding of Material Management operational concepts surrounding production planning, inventory control, purchasing, stockroom operation and shipping and receiving.
oFamiliarity with the procurement of raw materials, standards, parts.
