Job Description
Area Supervisor (2nd shift)
Location: Huntington Beach, CA
To direct a group of assembly employees (Assemblers) in the assembly operation of any and all products as required.
Clear and concise assignment of work to employees, (planned quantities based upon standards)
Follow-up
o Follow-up and resolution of all plan variances. During the shift and post shift follow-up.
o Ability to determine status of the process at any given time
o Understands the issues confronting employees and most importantly the resolution of those issues.
o Ability to solicit input from employees regarding variances and solutions while utilizing his/her ability to guide the employees into resolution steps to eradicate variances.
o Action Plans
Root cause evaluation, assigning responsibilities to subordinates and peers. Requesting assistance from upper management in a professional manner when appropriate.
Assigning due dates to work that needs to be completed.
Follow up and progress reports on Action plans.
Ability to provide feedback to the employees as a group or individually on the status of an action plan brought to his/her attention by an employee (team building) (follow-up).
Ability to clearly write and verbally describe work instructions to an employee
o Ability to write SOPs (standard operating procedures)
Train employees Hands on and classroom on procedures and work instructions.
Administrative duties

Scheduling of labor and machines, daily assignments, vacations, and absentee coverage.
o Performance Appraisals
Accurate, clear, and non-biased performance appraisals will be generated.
Ability to convey the message of the appraisal on a one on one basis with the employee.
o Prepare a daily break down of events and status of variance action plans

Requirements
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
AA or Working towards BA or BS preferred.
Must be a team player, energetic, self-motivated, dependable, and work efficiently with minimal supervision. Must be able to meet and maintain high quality work standards and handle emergencies when manager is not available. Must be able to train and lead others in new tasks, be open minded towards changes and improvements and quick to adapt to new projects/assignments. Must be flexible to work any shift as needed. Set up dies in Hot Stamp Machine and assembly fixtures.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
