Service Desk Software Engineer

POSITION
Responsibilities:
Strong verbal and written communication skills to work with team members, vendors, customers and other organizations to identify and resolve issues, and to provide training and support to end users.
Experience in working with scientists, engineers and/or analysts in coding and debugging algorithms in a parallel processing environment.
Demonstrated creative, critical thinking and troubleshooting skills across a broad domain of software development environments and activities.
Experience in testing and documenting software and systems.
Ability to collaborate effectively within a small team environment as well as work multiple tasks independently with minimal direction.
Ability to solve challenging problems.
Experience with the following technologies:
high performance computing processing and storage environments, parallel file systems, SQL, ColdFusion, Oracle, Perl / Python / shell scripting, Bootstrap, C/C++, Java.
OS Environments:
Unix, Linux, and Windows.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Must meet DoD 8570.
01 IAT Level II certification or better (e.
g.
, CompTIA Security
CE).
Degree and typical experience in engineering classification:
Bachelor's and 5 or more years' experience, Master's degree with 3 or more years' experience or PhD degree with experience.
Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
Experience working in one or more of the following OS Environments:
Unix/Linux, Windows.
Experience in troubleshooting and resolving system issues.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Experience working in a customer support or service desk type environment.
Experience working in a system administration environment.
Experience working with large clustered high performance computing systems.
Experience with parallel file systems.
Experience working with Windows, RedHat Linux, and Solaris/Unix operating systems.
Typical Education/
Experience:
Degree and typical experience in engineering classification:

Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
